Thanks, Amy! I feel the laws are more on the side of workers than they seem (though not enough, if you ask me), BUT the people that are charged with enforcing them don’t seem very interested in doing so. I’ve been an Independent Contractor since 2011 and have watched companies weasel around on their requirements and structure to make sure no eyebrows are raised; usually the adjustments are to the detriment of the work force, and I have yet to see one not get away with it.
